Three winter haikus (By Maija "DiamonDie" Haavisto)
I
Rabbit footprints
sew a cross-stitch on
river's frozen quilt.
II
Pressed against
night's gaping mouth;
a handful of stars.
III
Streetlights dozing off,
cradled beneath the snowdrift
cranberries sleep.
And one spring haiku:
In place of
yesterday's snow
a white crocus.
